Dinner:
The Maplewood Farm, route 9, Amherst  An organic farmstand, microbrewer, and restaurant -all in one!  I find there food very savory and interesting.
Judie's,  Main St., Amherst  Judies is famous for pop-overs.  I always end up getting one of the pop overs I haven't made it to the rest of the menu I am sure they are all good!
Amherst Brewing Company, Mainstreet, Amherst.  Don't let the name scare you - its a bit too pricey for the college students!  On certain nights they have a jazz band!
Bella, Masonic St., Noho   Excelent Food even if your not a vegitarian!  The menu is 100% vegitarian and the restaurant offers vegan fare as well. A Very small dining room. and open only certain hours.
The Fresh Pasta Company, Main St., Noho  (They are catering our wedding.)  A reasonably priced night out on the town.  Italian Bistro fare with a tastey twist.
La Cazuela, off Main, Noho.  Mexican and Southwest which is remarkably good for the East Coast.  I like the Mole Poblano!
Northampton Brewery, behind Main St., Noho.  If the weather is good ask to be seated outside- in the summer they open outdoor seating on the roof.  Its a good place to grab a brew and some appetizers and watch the sun go down on Noho.
Green Street Cafe, off Main and rt 66, Noho. $$fine dining.$$ Steve and I went here the night we closed on our house to celebrate.  I don't remember if they had a jacket requirement.
Union Station, Noho.  Something for everyone, and a raw bar too.
Lunch:
Bueno y Sano, Main St., Amherst  They call it mexican here? But it is really gringo health burritos- but yummy.
Judie's  in addition to nice diners, Judie's has a nice lunch menu- yes, there are pop-overs on it too.
Amber Waves, Main St., Amherst  Its a health food, vegetarian haunt but they have very interesting asian noodle themes and salads, reasonable prices..
Nini's, Pleasant St. Noho  I swear it's the largest slice of pizza IN THE WORLD!
Cha cha cha's, Main Street ,Noho  Gringo Burritos.
Breakfast:
Dove's Nest.,  Sunderland (see college town section)
Brueger's Bagels, Located on Main St. Noho and N. Pleasant Amherst.
Ice Cream:
Herrell's, Noho an establishment brought to you by the founder of Steve's Icecream- it's the best!  My favorite flavor: chocolate pudding
Barts Ice cream Main, Noho and N. Pleasant, Amherst.
Forgot name: There is also a pastry shop on Armory St. in downtown Noho which is open in the evenings for coffe and desserts. - I go just to drool in front of the display cases.

The ones I haven't had the chance to eat at yet, but heard were good!  They are on my list.
Pinnochio's,  off Main St., Amherst  $a very nice spot for dinner.$
Sylvester's Bakery and Restaurant.  I have heard it is THE PLACE for Brunch.

There are many great reastants!
College Town Specialties
The Hanger, Amherst    7+ Varieties of Buffalo Wings  with 14 Varieties of Beer on Tap.  Wings and Beer, yum.
The Dove's Nest    The weekend breakfest special: 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 bacon or sausage $2.25 !  A really friendly  country diner with less grease than many greasy spoons and a smiling waitstaff.
